Information:
This version 1.0.5 is only compatible with the V3 Version 3.0 phone with WCDMA 850/2100, remove the battery and check your phone sticker for further information.
If your phone sticker reads WCDMA 850/2100 and you can also see V 3.0 on the sticker, you own the Version 3.0 with WCDMA 850/2100 and you may use this ROM. Version V 3.0 shows a 18 MP with the stock camera app.
If your phone sticker reads WCDMA 900/2100 and V 4.0, hands off, your phone is not compatible with this ROM version 1.0.5. The version V 4.0 phone shows a 12 MP camera with the stock camera app.
It is very tricky to get the correct ROM for a V3 phone now, because there exist two versions with different ROMs.

well obveiously then there are 3 different versions out there, be careful with your updates. Mine shows V3.0 with the 18 MP camera, but still, the camera and the WCDMA indicator seems to be the same. Well, the version identification was a wild guess, seems as if we are down to WCDMA and the cameras then for identification the phones, that is extremely helpful. I wished iNew would have been a bit more clever with all those firmware and phone versions.
Whatever you try, always check the WCDMA readout on that phone sticker, if it is WCDMA 850/2100, a firmware with WCDMA 900/2100 will not work with this phone and vice versa.

probably from another forum. ;) i once started a thread there to find the differences in the old models but no longer am a member there (dont ask). StardustOne is also a member there.
but i have to agree, if you are not 100% sure which version you have - dont flash it.
it obviously depends if you receive(d) a phone from the old production batch or from the new one.
the old ones seem to not differ greatly as all roms up to 1.0.4 work on all of them.
the new batch seems to differ in hardware, so beware!
great inew, you f*cked that up nicely.
my phones current and past:
Brand phones:- Samsung Galaxy Apollo/Leo/3 - retired, 2x Samsung Galaxy S - gone, Samsung Galaxy Note - stolen , Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos - retired
- Samsung Galaxy S3
- Samsung Galaxy S4 black edition (work issue)
China phones:- Pinphone 3 (never received), Smarty A8 (MTK6515 HTC Chacha clone), iNew V3 - sold
- Xiaomi Redmi 1s - Wife's daily driver
- Xiaomi MI3 64GB with MagicSim on dual bootMIUI v5 (4.8.22) /CM11
Others: - ZTE Open (FirefoxOS) - now running ICS! -retired from duty.
