Hello, I've just arrived to this post because I was given a Xiaocai G6 but as you said before it doesn't have installed Google Play Store. First of all sorry about my english is not too good and my questions about Android because I have no idea about it. I am starting to try follow the steps that you give, but I already have a problem at the beginning when you say "VolUp+Power, wipe data/factory reset" is that an alternative? or you have to do both at the same time cliick the volume button and the power button and select the factory reset?

Can anyone make a basic tutorial? I know that is a lot of work, but is dificult having no idea about CWM, recovery, root etc.

The processes are the same, just make sure you use the proper recovery and scatter for your phone when flashing.

but I cant find the volume key and enter the Recovery Mode of Brush (step 2)

CWM
Step 1: Download the custom card brush ROM copied to an external SD card root directory
Step 2: the shutdown state. While holding down:
Power button + volume button + volume key to enter the recovery mode of Brush, Clear user data and cache, and then enter the card brush
Options Brush can.
Step 3: Brush complete, restart the phone

Most phones, hold VolUp and while you're holding VolUp, press the power button. Hold them together until you hit recovery. The Xiaocai shouldn't be different. If I'm wrong, someone correct me.

Hello,

I found this rom for xiaocai g6 but I cant get it installed becouse I cant find the voluke KEY (not volume button) to enter the recovery mode...
Only with Up-Volume button PLUS Power button doesnt work, the phone just goes off. Can anyone help me?

I have a problem with the GPS, I know that there is a specific link for that, but nobody mentioned the problem I have.
The GPS location is good, but when I use apps training, endomondo, CardioTrainer, etc.. the calculation of the speed and distance is wrong. The other day I train with the bike, and endomondo scored a speed of 200 miles and a distance of 300 miles.

What's the problem?

Hello to all,

I started this section as a result of various problems with my Xiaocai G6
as I did not understand big things to all your explanations, I preferred send my phone to my seller.
Unfortunately, despite its efforts, it seems that he also very difficult to get answers / explanations from Xiaocai ...
It is in Xiaocai for a while now, no news!
So I think the issue is more serious and profound than just a problem of ROM.

He seems to be on the market too quickly, without having undergone all the necessary tests :-(

I think that a collective action to Xiaocai will have more effect than a few isolated complaints.

So, all the people who have problems with this G6 indicate their names and email addresses on this forum to get the largest possible basis.
Then, I send this list to Xiaocai ...
Maybe it will have more impact?

Hallo All,

I did read all posts related to the XIAOCAI G6, but are still unable to get the gapps running.

Also the gapps package (post #7) that worked in some cases did not work for me.

I entered the recovery mode:
- Apply update from sd card
- file gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip
- it starts
- System update is being installed ("Systemupdate wird installiert")
- at about 40 percent it stops
- Error: Invalid OTA package, missing scatter
- installation aborted

Can anybody help?
