Hey guys!
Just reporting in my "user experience" after having the phone now for more than a month, while comparing it to my Fraternal Twin Zees.
Battery life. Surprisingly better than my Xperia Z (2050 mah battery) and about the same as my Lenovo Vibe Z (3000mAh battery).
Screen Display Quality. Again, better than my two Zee's. even if the twins both have 1080P displays. the IPS +OGS does wonders to viewing angles and color saturation, IMHO.
Screen Scratch Protection (excellent!). I don't use covers nor do i use screen protectors. why cover such a sexy phone? (same as my two Zee's, i don't cover them for the same reason. My XZ though is the worst when it comes to scratch protection.)
Easy to Clean and Maintain? V3+ > VZ > XZ . Sadly, even if its waterproof and dust proof, the Xperia Z doesn't repel dirt and prints. Just a quick wipe and the V3+ look new again.
Performance (20000 Antutu average). Meh.... my two year old XZ does 26000 antutu without breaking a sweat while my Vibe does 35000 points average. BUT, with the APPS i use, i don't see any difference.
Heat buildup. . While my XZ and VibeZ get real HOT (60 degC+) after heavy (1 hr+) 3d Gaming Use. The V3+ plus asks "What Heat?" ;-) I Actually prefer to use the V3+ in gaming since i can't even touch the VZ screen due to how hot it can get.
Internet Speed. in order of best to good... XZ > V3+ > VZ
Camera. depends on lighting conditions. V3+ is great with normal to bright light environments. but for the dark i prefer the Twin Zees.
Sound. in order of best to good... XZ > VZ > V3+. Although Louder than the Twins, the V3+ has something wrong with Bluetooth Speaker sound + Music. there's a hiss and crackle (digital distortion) to the mid to high frequencies. really annoying.
NFC. XZ has it, VZ doesnt. I've been doing some research and Yes, the V3+ is capable of NFC, but i think we need to change the back cover to that of the older V3, which has the NFC antenna. And, then do a bit of a mod to the pins near the camera lens.
GPS Lock. About the same as my XZ and better than my VZ.
WiFi reception. XZ > V3+ > VZ
Value for Money. V3 Plus Hands Down. (Got my XZ for $600 2yrs ago, my VZ for $500 2014).
And who care if it's made in China? my Original Sony Xperia Z has "Made in China" printed at the bottom of the unit. :-D
