I just tried to cancel my FCT order the day after but they had shipped it out already; hopefully it will arrive in the next week or so and I will post my impressions of the H9008 vitas.
Also I remember seeing the honor 3x for $210 on Merimobiles which has similar spec as the vitas which is an awesome deal but it has since doubled in price for some reason.
Something to point out is that in this video is that the Rapid appears brighter than the Vitas but the blacks look very washed out to me. Since I already use eye saver apps to dim and remove the blue tint from my screens I am not concerned with the brightness of an OGS display but this one in particular may be problematic.
Most sites Merimobiles included usually put a lower than expected price for preorder stuff, so expect those to go up. I agree thought the huge jump was not expected because that phone is suppose to be selling for $280 before the resellers get their hands on it.
Just in case you missed it, the HDC Vitas looks like it has a different setup than the Mlais rebrands and the screen is only 1280x720. That might explain the difference in appearance vs the Rapid which is 1920x1080.
HDC are on a role and are releasing new phones like crazy right now...and they look really appealing for the price. I almost bought the 3gb ram version of the vitas but just can't find enough feedback on HDC's products.
Please post a good detailed review on the HDC Rapid when you get it with your opinions on the hardware/Software(ROM)/and performance. My big concerns were the Camera(especially in low lighting), GPS, and if the ROM was glitchy.
I'm sure alot of us are very curious about HDC as the prices for what you get are amazing.
I just ordered a Newman K2S, and will be ordering the H9008 from Merimobiles in the next week or so. I'll make sure to post full reviews for them.
Also of note...Merimobiles have the Mlais MX69 Pro in stock for $360. Thats only $35 dollars more than the unknown rebrand. Then again I guess you could just save the $35 with the rebrand and flash the official Mlais rom onto if needed.
Choices, choices.....
