Yes, I think its both together. I personally had flashed once the 1.0.4 firmware trough cwm but I didn't like the partition system (only 3.5gb for games and apps, and the other space was invisible), so I'm with 1.0.3...

How can I makes two partition on 1.0.4 ROM? Something like 3.5Gb for apps and ~10Gb for mediafiles

If are concered about app data and stuff, you can use link2sd app. It creates a partition on your sd card dedicated to apps.
