Reason being, The update script will attempt to re-partition your system size, As KitKat is larger , But it not 100% working yet, And rather than spend all day fixing it i will give quick fix so you can upgrade now.
I will include a new recovery, ebr1, mbr and scatter file to overwrite 1.1.5 / 1.1.1 versions , you will need to flash that first .
Also , BACK UP your IMEI's , Do it, Do it twice !
So this new recovery have SELinux support? and the kernel is a new version?
Btw, the new scatter file changes recovery partition size? because if the kernel is smaller than the old one i think we can build the last version of TWRP Recovery...

KITKAT V3 CWM VERSION
As kitkat has a bigger system partition, you will need to resize it. The Update script in the rom will attempt this. It may or may not work . I have included a workaround for anyone it wont work on, (Method 2) It is 100% guaranteed to work
SPFlash_Files_For_V3Kitkat_Wilsey.zip contains 2 folders, Choose the version you have downloaded before and overwrite files (ebr, mbr, scatterfile, recovery.img) And flash your phone with SPFlashtools . You may need to chose Format all and download. This will resize your partitions in SPFlashtool.
Next, After reboot, Hold volume UP and enter recovery.

1st method gave me black screen and that's all. Proceed to method number two
After second method I've got the same but heard the startup sound. Screen is still black. Hope you can help me solve this ;)
P.S. It seems that phone is working, I even can unlock the screen (at least I can hear sound of unlocking), lol. But all I can see it's only black screen.

Yep size is now 16mb
Nice, now we can build TWRP 2.7 without hacks to make it fit in partition...

What version phone do you have? Try taking the file lk.bin from the update flash, and using spflashtools , click on the uboot name, and choose to flash this file alone, in download mode .
Maybe display driver is missing on yours , You can also try flashing the older lk.bin 1.1.1/1.1.5 file alone after the upgrade to kitkat .

Open spflashtools, load the scatterfile of the 1.1.1/1.1.5 , and load the extracted lk.bin into the uboot line, flash only that.
You can also try flashing the 1.1.1 / 1.1.5 lk.bin also , same method.
So.......
Flashing lk.bin from original firmware - screen is switched on, showing logo, fades, then again screen is on and showing logo (bootloop). When flashing lk.bin from Kitkat - just a black screen

It must not contain the necessary drivers for your screen type. Using MTKdroidtools what is your lcm driver?
