sry i've been busy lately. sry that i cant reply each post individually.
just for giving some informations of my condition:
I'm using xiaomi piston piston v2 . and yes they are awsome pair of ear phones. but inew v3 doesn't produce good sound quality. viper4droid doesn't create big different.
the best audio quality that i've ever experienced is on sony walkman NW-B152F mp3 player.
this little guy produces amazing sound quality that beats every other player including ipod.
but when i say inew v3 sound quality is low, is not even 1/4 good as my mp3 player. it's below average.. .
i think it might be a hardware problem.. isn't it related to it's 3.5 mm jack?
Does your Xiaomi Piston Piston V2 have a mic? I just barely (15 minutes ago) realized I'm having issues with my House of Marley People Get Ready headphones and this phone (THL T200C). All the sound was all weird and distant, where these are normally phenomeal sounding headphones on every other source I've tried. I finally figured out that the phone's jack seems to be weird. It's not registering the headphones as headphones+mic, and instead is messing up the channels. If I use regular headphones without a mic (tested on Panasonic RP-HTF600s and SoundMagic E10s), they sound great. If I use these Marleys, they sound awful.
Also, there's an icon up in the top right corner of Android that appears when you plug your headphones in. If there's a mic attached, my old phone would show an image of a headset. On this phone, the image is just headphones regardless of mic/no-mic.

my xiaomi piston headon has mic , and inew v3 supports it. even volum keys can be set to do different functions ( controlling volume/ changing song/ play or pause) . but the poor audio quality , will appeare on every other headphone as well.
i tried my energy sistem dj700 headphones with inew v3 . even with them, audio quality is not pleasurable and that energy sistem headphone doesn't have mic.

- Xiaomi Redmi 1s - Wife's daily driver
- Xiaomi MI3 64GB with MagicSim on dual bootMIUI v5 (4.8.22) /CM11
Others: - ZTE Open (FirefoxOS) - now running ICS! -retired from duty.

They are mixed! There are iNew V3 with both of the connector types.

My apologies for not reading the entirety of this thread before posting a reply.
Heads up: check to see if your "BesAudEnh" is marked. Credit to rossturv for [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register].

Just found out what was causing the noise through the head phones. In audio profiles there is something called BesAudEnh. Now I'm not sure if this a standard android app but as soon as it was disabled the sound corrected itself. I assume this program simply increases the output level of the headphone jack, which will make it louder but also distorts the source.
A bit of fine tuning with the built in equalizer and everything is sounding great!
Maybe you guys have this too.

that audio mod is in the rom. so all of us have it and i never enable it. because it makes the sound quality worse
I doubt that the 3.5 mm jack on inew v3 is from nokia, even if it is, it's not matched with other part i guess...or maybe it's an outdated one or maybe it's not a good one.
so you say that its possible to have better music listening experience by changing the jack??
if so, how can we find a jack that produces better results? will it be expensive?

If it really is an OMTP vs CTIA issue, you just need an adapter. Because it's a direct swap of two lines, it shouldn't matter if it's OMTP->CTIA or CTIA->OMTP adapter. They cost around $5.
A quick test before you go buying stuff though. Move your headphones so they're half-way in the jack while listening to music. At any time through there, do the headphones sound more normal? If so, the jack is culprit. If not, it might be the DAC or the headphone driver.

Thanks for this, NexusTrix. My problem is the one you've described above. Now to Google around for a solution. Thanks for a huge step in the right direction.

Its not always about OMTP CTIA.
There are sometimes minute differences between jacks and inputs. The solution is try different headphones or adapters until you find ones that work, or tape the control button down.
There is nothing wrong with iNew v3 audio jack sound quality unless you have a defective unit.
