I am downloading the ROOTED rom is that ok? or do i need to get fully stock rom?

rooted rom, no problems, as long as it it for yr model.

at the mean time, waht u can do for yr phone is try to do a read back from the phone

1- sp flash tool version 3.1316
2- a scatter file 6589. u can get it in the any rom for ,MT6589

create a folder name "AAA"
put the scatter file in the "AAA"

then run the sp flash tool
scatter the file under "AAA"
then hit the tab "read back"

see if there ia any line inside the box, if non, then hit "add" , if two or there, then choose the line n th hit "remove", when only one line, then double click the line n save the file(by default it is named ROM_0, then change the start address to 0x00000, , change the length to 0x20000000 (20 million)

then save n let it run. it should take about 25 minutes.
afetr that u should have yr rom back up in the folder name "ROM_0"

ok i got rom_0 which is 512mb how do i flash it as it is one WHOLE file

I still need help please, rom_0 is 1 WHOLE file it says its too large causes region overlap. how do i fix white screen.

do u have aother china phone?

if u do,please do the folloeing
run mtk droid root n tool (version v2.4.8)
connect yr another working china phone(with the phone power n) to the computer

now u should see the mtk droid root n tool will show some info about the phone,
then hit the tab "root, backup, recovery", disconnec yr phone now, then proceed to hit the button " , then choose ROM_0 that u have created, then let it run. anything pop out, just click no. after that u have a file folder cotain about 10 or more files,
all u need is the file "preloader.bin" in the folder.

if u don't have another china phone
then try to power on the semi-brick phone to the computer, and see if u can hit the button "to process file ROM_from flash tool" in the mtk droid tools, if u can , then u will get a file folder . then all u need is the file "preloader.bin"

if u can't get the above method to get the preloader.bin
then try to make another ROM_0 by sp flash tool as u did before, but this time chage the lengh to 0x600000 (six hundred thousand), this time the process will take about 10 sec. after that u will ge a ROM_0 filr about 6M in size, zip the file n email it to me, i can process the file for u.


at the mean time, u can try to flash the rom that u have downloded from needrom dot com.

run the sp flash tool, scatter the file(inside the rom file folder),
then

make sure u unckeck the "preloader.bin" ( because most likely the preloader.bin is not compatible to the sp flash tool) then hit the button "download"
then connect yr phone(without the battery) to the computer.
see if it will finish the process, if it does , then put back battery, and try to on the phone.

if it does not then u have to wait till i process the preloader.bin n send u back

or
happen that u have created yr own preloader.bin . then u can replace the preloader.bin in the rom that u downloaded from needrom by theone u hav created.

then u flash the rom with sp flash tool , scatter the file, then all the file will be check, then u can hit download , connect yr phone(without the battery)...........

did u already flash the rom, i saw u posted in needrom, u can power on the phone, but it is only white screen

When I connect phone to mtk droid tools AFTER I flashed the haipa i9389 rom from needrom mtk droid tools says the phone model is gt-i9302 when i remove the battery from phone it says model I9389. I bought phone on amazon from gotablettetechnology and it was labeled HaiPai i9389 why does mtk droid tools say gt-i9302

when the phone is power on, mtk droid root n tools will read what ever the model labelled by the rom itself, i can change the label to "Steve" , then mtk droid tool will shown model : "Steve" , not the original model.

in yr case, because the rom was transplant from GT-I9302, and they did not change the label to I9389, so it still show GT-I9302, u can change it back to I9389 if u wish

Hi All,

I bought a Goophone i6 and want to flash the rom. After it finished, the phone doesn't turn on. It isn't charging, vibrating, only blank screen. I think it's hard bricked. Can anybody tell me a solution how i can get back my phone?
