Here's a few things to try/check when trying to get it your PC to recognize the V3
-Check for any unrecognized devices in your device manager
-Try a different USB cord (often this works)
-Remove the battery, connect the USB cord then fit the battery
-Can you boot to recovery? (hold power + volume up) If so, clear the dalvik cache

i suspect your usb port is malfuctioning. it will drain the battery fast.
If u put in a fully charged battery, how long can it last, then after u try to test the battery with the meter measuring device, see if the battery is low.
i had experience with my HTC incredible S, when i charged the phone, i had to make sure the contact is in good contact, or else, it will dran the battery instead of charging the phone. It is very very very hard for me to connect my phone to pc.
And u said when u plugged in yr phone to computer, u did not have any sound. Most likely the usb port is damaged.

If you phone is not recognized by the pc, ie.... No sound or anything in that nature, then you will need to find the TP (TEST POINT) on your device and jump the TP to a known ground and it will recognize your device again with the sound and site. Keep in mind that you will need to flash your firmware again with SP FLASH TOOL while you jump the TP. Hope this helps.

Use sp flash tool v5.
Remove battery of the phone.
Do the flash with download.
Procede with no battery and no usb on phone.
So you can start sp flash tool and wait at...searching the phone.
Now you put the usb cable at phone.
Wait a 1 minute to see if it reconize the phone.
If not put the batery now and wait 1 minute.
If it runs just wait finish, if not remove and put again the usb cable...whait..
If the phone is not crash i assure you it wiil flash..
Dont forgot to mark the DA/DL... in settings.

Got the same problem since yesterday. Sometimes - after removing the battery for an hour !!! - i can start it. But most of the time it hangs up during the boot process. After that - even if i removed the battery for a short time - it is absolutely dead. After 30 min or an hour i can start it sometimes. But i can never get it to work. Hangs up after a few seconds.
I can flash it and tried several ROMS, but the same. I guess it is a hardware problem. I had it in the back pockets of my pants sometimes. :-(

Try to charge your phone, if no indicates about charging, leave it for hours, as you will see indication about charging, connect to PC and from USB menu (on top screen) choose - Only charge. Reboot.
