Yeah, this is what also bothers me. Now i have to carry 2 devices every time i go to they gym

The sound in the earpiece in not that low, but it can be increased slightly with MobileUncle tools and Engineering menu for the MTK.
You must go to Hardware testing tab --> Normal mode--> Type: SIP you set the max volume to 155. Than go to Type: Sph and set Level 6 at 155. Slight but noticeable increase in audio volume.
