Gingerbread 2.3.6 is actually one of the most difficult OS to root. You can try Superoneclick and Z4 Root, but they are unlikely to work.
You might be able to do it by creating a custom CWM recovery.
Make a scatter file with MTK Droid Tools.
Find the address of your recovery with MTK Droid Tools.
Read your recovery with SP Flash Tool.
Take that file and run it through MTK Droid tools to create the CWM for your phone.
Flash it with SP Flash tools.
Inject SuperSU from CWM recovery.
