Hello,
Unfortunately the backup I made only intermittently restores and works. Currently the system is unbootable for an unknown reason. Trying to restore the backup again and see what happens.

Hello,
Currently it was wiped and reset with my backup. I successfully installed the Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_03.04.2020.zip without rebooting first, and then installed Magisk-v20.4.zip and rebooted. Magisk crashed and wasn't even allowing me to update the application and basically locked my phone up so I had to reboot. I expect I need to restore from the backup AGAIN, then wipe DATA, install Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_03.04.2020.zip and reboot then install Magisk considering the phone won't even boot without installing vbmeta.img which I did a long time ago so I could get into TWRP in the first place.
Also I used Orange State Disabler 0.3 so, not sure about any of that.
** when I booted up again everything ** seems ** fine... but the Google Play Store is screwed again and won't let me login.

Hello,
It was working fine with 20.4 but currently back to not being able to restore the backup I made. It gets to about 54% and fails. Goes fast then slows down and halts. No idea at all what to do next. Not sure how to get it to proceed with the restore. Also I am not sure about your link.
** this time it got to 53% and failed.
Thanks

Hello,
I was able to do the restore of the system by restoring everything except the system image then I restored the system image by itself and it completed without issues on both parts. We'll see if it boots at all now.
** it appears to have booted up fine. I wonder if the Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_03.04.2020.zip is the real issue?

Hello,
Looks like the Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_03.04.2020.zip causes the issue right away. Without it, you get temporary TWRP and without an update or a fix for Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_03.04.2020.zip you're stuck.

Hello,
I would like to run LineageOS on this phone but can't get any of the GSI ones to work at all. Failure to boot OR everything is screwed and crashes like mad.

Hello,
I finally was able to get the LineageOS GSI to boot, specifically
lineage-17.1-20201012-UNOFFICIAL-treble_arm64_bvS.img after I get Gapps installed it'll probably be fine to put my data on it, if the GPS and a few other things work...

Hello,
I have s95 pro 8/256. I unlocked its bootloader. I have the files magisk 20.4. zip, vbmeta.img, no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.1.zip and the twrp3.3.2 zip. All I want is to have root on this running stock rom. Since I cant find the stock rom image for download for just in case anything goes wrong, I am a little bit scared of bricking.
The temporary TWRP is fine for me as long as I have root. Since I cant see the contents of the internal sd (because of encryption), I am thinking of flashing the magisk and no-verity-opt-encrypt from an external sd card. I can boot into temporary TWRP (by flashing vbmeta and the TWRP images from fastboot mode). Now my question is, is it okay to flash magisk and no-verty-opt-encrypt from the temporary TWRP to get the root access? Do I have to wipe data?
