Anyone have experience with this device?
It's a Digiland DL718M tablet with MTK8127 CPU and Android 5.1. USB debugging is enabled.
It will not connect to MTK Droid tools no matter what method I try. Also, no tools are able to root this device. Have tried many.
Using MTK Droid Tools 2.5.3 on Windows 7 x64, and PDAnet drivers 4.17 with the USB Cable that came with the device.
Some tutorials say you need to have the device off, press vol+ and connect cable, then MTK DroidTools will detect it. Other tutorials say to have the device powered on when you make a connection to droid tools.
Can anyone clarify what the correct procedure is for connecting this device to MTK Droid Tools? Is there something wierd about this tablet that makes connecting to MTK Droid Tools impossible?
If anyone wants to work on this project we can share what we learn. The goal is to get it rooted.
