[Question] Apps stop when screen is turned off

Hey,

when I lock the Screen of my Innos D6000 some apps are automatically closed. This means I do not receive whatsapp Messages (until I open whstsapp) and can't listen to music with some apps when the screen is turned locked. Strangely, some apps work fine (like BlackPlayer).
I have selected the apps in the "protected apps" menu, but still it does not work.
Do you have any suggestions for me? Thank you so much in advance!

You don't happen to be using any battery saver apps like Greenify, do you?
What version of the ROM are you on?

Nope, no battery saving apps, only the stock apps (some chinese, can't figure out what they do)

I am on Android 5.1.1, V2.3_abroad

its been bugging me for a while now too , since i have put the 5.1.1 V2.7 following a post here ...
does somebody know what to do ?
i can't listen to music screen turned off ...
Can't have the gps tracking me while hiking ...

there's the "Protected apps" menu in the settings , so i was able to put whatsapp in and it works , but it dont work for all the apps ...

my tracking app is staying alive when screen is off, but the GPS is shutdown so nothings works . and there's no gpsSystem thing in the protected apps

please help

i have same proble, test protected app but no change.

After restore using room. all was ok, apps not stop and restart after screen turned of.
i Was playing and during play store aplly update, and my apps restart...
after update play store the apps restart after screen turned off.

after disable android system webview now if i keep software page open, after screen turn off it back without restart.
