Very complex, requires Root rights and honestly, I tried this once with a Jiayu G2S but it did not improve anything.
From then on, I simply use the MobileUncle tools to enable the EPO data (if not there) and none of my phone never ever required to go the GPSFix route anymore. It is a thing from the past and was maybe very useful for the older MTK6577 or similar dual core CPUs, whereas the newer Quad Core ones with e.g. MTK6589 CPUs do not suffer from the same issues.
Fast and easy, use MobileUncle Tools and do these test from within the tool.
Besides, I do not want to take care of the country I am visiting to change any settings for the GPS, it must work wherever I am without fixing. As long as EPO data are available and there is a way to download the data used for sat positioning (you need data enabled SIM or a WiFi connection nearby), everything should be fine.
This iNew V3 phone does not require the GPSFix treatment to work perfectly fine (I live in Europe and I do not have issues with these Chinese phones since I use Quad Core CPUS).

I will use the thread to mention one more problem. When having openned app in landscape and close the case, the phone not locks, but reboots.

In the notification area there is a message “slot 2 sim card not detected”.
I updated firmware to 1.0.3 today but in my case there is no difference.
Did you try to put your SIM card into another slot?
Also play with GSM/WCDMA auto/prefered options, maybe your 3G signal is weak, so you must use 2G for calls or something.

That issue was fixed in 1.0.3 firmware. Update it, and it should be fine then.
If I helped you, clicking "Thank You" button will be enough.
