Hi,
for a better understanding of the well known GPS problem, i would like to know:
when starting a GPS app, a list of satellites is shown. Is that list actually detected by the GPS receiver or is this a list, which is downloaded by the EPO or AGPS mechanism?

I found on my V3 which is running 4.4 that either in gps test or ygps they showed satelites but not locking, everything still worked fine, local maps etc, even spinning around in a chair in my house. Try going outside to get a good lock and then try again, mine is working fine.

My iNew V3 (kitkat 4.4.2 Marsapa rom KK v1)
- The First 7-8 days GPS not show any.
- After use FasterGPS in YGPS show 10-11 red satellites but can't lock I think It's show by the EPO or AGPS.
- After used FasterGPS for 5-6 days GPS can lock 3-6 sattellites and blink in some times.I don't understand it.

I made a few tests, and it actually looks like, that the list of satellites is not found by the GPS receiver but "downloaded" by AGPS. With deactivated AGPS, no satellite is seen.
