I have just buy the new Q5000 phone.
Specs.

MTK6582, 1,3 Ghz.
Mali 400 MP2
5 inch IPS HD 1280x720
1 Gb RAM - 8 GB ROM
5 Mpix Front - 10 Mpix Rear Cams
GPS, AGPS
2500 mah Battery

I have seen this phone with different names, like:
Star HD5000
AMPE A50
Q5000
Lenteen HD5000

I have paid 129,99$.
What do you think of this phone?
Where can I find information to Root, backup ROM, or install Recovery?

Good morning people,

I have just received the phone a fabulous Q5000 phone. And I would like to share with you my oppinion about this phone.

Fisically, the phone is very comfortable, It is very stylish, with silvery sides and a comfortable soft buttons with a highlight.

When you turn on the phone you can see the stock ROM that comes with the phone. I think that it is horrible. But it's my oppinion. It comes without the application box and I don't like that at all. The second thing I've done after I received the phone is install the nova launcher.

The phone works great with most applications I have proved. The screen is very clear, it shows that it's an IPS panel.

The connectivity, WiFi and 3G work really good, my brother has a Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Q5000 has better signal than the Samsung Galaxy S3. But the GPS signal is average and it cost me a lot to make it work. I have installed the GPS fix and the Mobile uncle tools to make it work fine.

The camera, it average going to bad. It comes with an interpolated 13 Mpix camera. But it needs too much light to make good photos. I don't know the real resolution of the camera because I have read in different webs some different things. One of them says that the camera has 8 Mpix and other webs says that the camera only has 5 Mpix. So that, I don't really know the real resolution of the camera.

The phone comes with 2 batteries of 2500 mah. Each of them are working about 18 hours with a normal use. I usually phone about 30 min. a day. whatsapp, I usually play games about 30 min. a day. I watch web pages, email and internet about 1 hour a day. Most of the time I'm with a WIFI connection. Normal use.

Well that was my impressions of the phone. I think if we compare the quality and the prize that it is a great phone.

I get really surprised with the quality of the screen. It's not an OGS screen but the colors and the sensitivity are great.

I have made a copy of the original ROM, I have made changes in that ROM, I have changed the partitions of the ROM (the EBR files), I have made the specific CARLIV recovery for this phone based in CWM 6.0.4.4. And I would like to share all the files with you if the administrators allows me to do it.

In that rar file, are also included the modified EBR files to resize the partitions up to 2.5 Gb. / 4 Gb.

And now the Carliv 2.2 Recovery based on CWM 6.0.4.4 of our Q5000.

You tried to apply some newer android version to it or still using stock one? If did any changes please describe how it works.
I have the same phone with name Ampe A50, but didnt do anything yet.

Till now found out that dialpad crashes if try to use it while call is in progress.

I'm also having the same error to my Q5000 model. I'm a newbie to this whole flashing and backing up rom etc. Assistance needed please,
