What apps have you tried? what app to check location, is location turned on, airplane mode, wifi, agps to help with location etc .
Hi, I already have written about it on needrom, but here seems more appropriate.
I installed it on my black V3 850/2000 that I purchased in April. It shipped with 1.0.8 JB, GPS was lousy out of the box. Lousy meaning it got fix occasionally after 15 minutes in MobileUncle and then lost it after a minute or so.
I copied the /etc/firmware from INewV3PatchGpsBaseband_02.05.14.zip (which is supposed to be the useful part of 1.0.8 GPSFIX.cz ROM) and it started seeing 14 sats with SNR 0. So I copied rest of this zipped patch into my system and GPS started to work, but signal was weak and accuracy was about 500m and I gave up.
Next this rom showed up, so I flashed it according to instructions from needrom steps 1 and 2 using 'Upgrade firmware' option in SP Flash Tools in step 1.
The GPS shows 14 sats with SNR 0 again.
I tried MobileUncle fix, then gps.conf from this thread changed to Polish servers (that's where I am), GPS locker for at least 3 hours, checking results in MobileUncle and GPS Test and nothing changed.
I'll be copying files from the 1.0.8 patch in the evening when I have some time.
BTW, as I wrote I did do step 2 of flashing, but when I go to recovery (Vol+ + Power) I get TWRP Recovery - is it OK or I should have CWM and did something wrong?

Hi there and thanks for the great work.
So I already did too.
upgrade from 1.0.4 - no problem.
I used only a firmware upgrade! (not format) - IMEI is not lost.
So far everything works - GPS fix to the 30s ...
Battery (orig.) Is charged to 4,35V !!! (JB it was only to 4.2)
Call volume is actually lower
The sound quality of the speakers is worse
Antutu - 18200
The phone runs like a charm, the best ROM i ever had.
Thank you!

BTW, as I wrote I did do step 2 of flashing, but when I go to recovery (Vol+ + Power) I get TWRP Recovery - is it OK or I should have CWM and did something wrong? So, as I mentioned earlier, I copied the contents of the INewV3PatchGpsBaseband_02.05.14.zip to my phone running Wilsey's ROM (thank You very much for it!) last evening.
Nothing changed, except for that the baseband in 'About phone' reverted to the old version (MOLY....V11.... as opposed to ...V34... flashed with this ROM), so I understand that my changes are working, but not my GPS.
WiFi, 3G, BT all work, but GPS sadly still shows 12-14 sats with SNR 0. I left the phone on the balcony through the night with charger attached and GPS Locker running for about 6 hours and nothing.
Wilsey, you said you had some ideas what it might be, can I do something to debug the problem better? Maybe my phone has some different GPS chipset, maybe it can be checked with some tool like lshw or cat /proc/something, so we can check if there are differences like with the screen drivers (I have NT35512, BTW) instead of poking around cluelessly waiting for magic to happen?
In other news, the rest of the ROM seems very good. It runs smoothly, battery life seems to be a little better (easily lasted 2 days with light use, no "83% hole", using original battery), loudspeaker seems louder (too loud even - starts distorting), ART is running fine for me, but don't use too many apps, so YMMV as usual.

Installed this rom, everything was good on the first day, I was very happy with it, but then suddenly it crashed, I tried to turn it on but it would stuck on boot.
So I tried to flash it back, and now my phone is bricked I spent the whole day trying to figure a solution...
The phone is recognized as MTK USB VCOM when I plug it on while holding volume + and - on my computer but I can't flash any rom (i tried like 5 differents roms, including original 1.3 rom)
I tried to download a new preloader (I think the problem is here, my preloader is probably corrupted) but it's not downloading and I always get a 4032 DRAM error
I tried others options (Format all, download, firmware upgrade) on flashtool 3 and 5, but nothing is working at all, i'm not sure what i'm missing here.
I tried mtkdroidtools but it says my phone is not connected (adb drivers problem ?)
I need some help here !
