What apps have you tried? what app to check location, is location turned on, airplane mode, wifi, agps to help with location etc .

I hace GPS working on my rom with a few file swaps etc but i need details to check everything before i upload it .

Thanks Wilsey, Arioch and Choppa for sharing your experiences. I tried to set the GPS parameters again by MT-GPS fix, MobileUncle, faster GPS, and then turn on GPS Locker and left it besides the windows. More than an hour passed by and there was no response. Trying to give up but I then recalled what you guys said, left it there with patience. OK, just plug in the power and left there before I slept.

Wake up this morning and take a look. Waoooh...... miracle comes. My phone at least fixed 3 satellites and GPS works. Closed all apps and tried Google Map. Yeah..... fixed in 10 seconds and everything works nicely.

For prudence, rebooted my phone and test again ........

no fix again. 15min has passed by now still not any response......

Seems I need to burn it overnight to make it work again ...

GPS problem (no signal, zero SNR) and what i tried:
apps: MT EPO Fix, Faster Fix for NTP, GPS lock, YGPS and GPS Test
switching from UP to CP and back,
at this moment, i flash back to 1.08_GPS_Fix for testing GPS, i will flash back to KK after this test. Imo this is a driver or microcode problem, all the V3s out there seem to differ a bit in hardware (LCD and touch), i could imagine, that also the chipset differs a bit in revision or so.
We really must clear up, how the problem shows up. Is the signal ok but no fix or as in my case no signal.

No signal here too, only rom with gps working for me is 1.0.8

Seems I need to burn it overnight to make it work again ...

Interestingly..... GPS works again in the evening. Can fix satellites in 30 seconds. I'm not going to reboot the phone again unless really necessary to do so...

Portugal, I already changed the server in gps.conf to the portuguese one, that's not the issue. This phone has always had an erratic gps behaviour, which only can be solved (for me, at least) by a gps fix that I installed on 1.0.8.

Can I assume, that those, who have GPS working only with specific rom, actually have damaged GPS chip or weak antenna? Mine catches fix very fast (without epo and agps) with whatever rom.
