1. Run DOS.CMD
2. Within DOS, go to the directory of the extracted executable
3. Type: imei.exe IMEI1 IMEI2
4. This will create "MP0B_001_NEW"
5. Change the name to "MP0B_001" and copy to your SD
6. Open ES Explorer (or similar app) and make sure /system is mounted as writable (see settings in ES Explorer)
7. Navigate to /data/nvram/md/NVRAM/NVD_IMEI/
8. Find and rename original MP0B_001 to MP0B_001.bak AND copy to your SD
9. Copy the new MB0B_001 from step 3 to /data/nvram/md/NVRAM/NVD_IMEI/
10. Restart your phone
thank you!!!! big thanks!!! finally a solution that worked for me.
but just one question... any chance to make this file permanent?
i tried to clean to factory and again i lost the imei... had to do all again.

I flash one of this phone to ClockworkMod 6.0.3.3 and GravityMod2 - Android 4.2.1
Everything passt well.
I tried to do the same with my second THL W8, but i had some crash, so the phone was for long time death, just black screen.
I tried same wey with MtkDroidTools and SP_Flash_Too, dont ask me what and how did it, I dont know, but the phone works, but with few cardinal errors :
About phone/ Based version : UNKNOW
About phone/Status/IMEI information : all UNKNOW
About phone/Status/ SIM status : this is disabled
And the worst, phone doesn't see SIM cards.
I tried to make backup of my functional phone and restore it to this one, but nothing help.
I tried to use Mobiluncle tools, at radio i tried use command AT+EGMR=1,10,”15 digit YOUR my IMEI NO” but it writes AT command is failed to send
Have you any advice?
Thans.
It is seem that you lost your radio so engineering mode can not help you.
In my experience when I face this issuess, just flash the stock Rom, for you w8 stock Rom. After you flash it your imei will be back
