Xiaomi are big and getting bigger in China.
They started out developing the MIUI ROM and porting it to many Android devices.
Think Cyanogenmod but MUCH more heavily modified.
Since then they moved on to hardware, generally mid to high spec phones.
They have just announced a new phone which sports a MT6589T processor.
Specs:
MTK 6589T Quad-core 1,5GHz CPU
1GB RAM + 4GB ROM
4.7" IPS retina screen, 312PPI
Resolution:1280*720
Samsung/OV camera, 8 MPx back camera,
1.3 MPx front camera,
supports 1080p video recording
Dual cards dual standby (TD-SCDMA+GSM)
GPS/OTG/WIFI Direct/MI Sound/Gyroscope/Electronic Compass/Dual mic/Bluetooth 4.0
Running MIUI V5
Great phone considering the price and will be fully supported by MIUI.
I've tinkered with MIUI for a while now but V5 is VERY nice.
I'm just disappointed that there is still no official ROM for my Nexus 4!
