HI, I just bought a Umi Cross phone from Antelife.
THe phone is good but I am worried about the rom inside.
First, it already rooted.
It has permission manager already installed and this youmimarket I think on 'white listed' so I cannot disallow to give root permission.
After install all my preferred apps then I installed avast.
It found that youmimarket.apk is a malware so I don't know whether or not it is ok and unable to delete and uninstall. There was another apk but able to delete it.
note previously I use the permission manager that comes with the phone to block any app goes to wifi internet or mobile data but after that I use avast because I am unsure about this app.
issue/questions:
1. I installed skype and then after I open, it goes play buy itself. It can press the button 'sign in by microsoft' and then go to the policy.
If I press button quickly to use skype name then it can type some characters on the username by itself. If I redo also the same but different character or goes to enter to join sign in by microsoft
Do you have this issue with your Umi Cross?
I have THL and it doesn't do this and my THL didn't come with root but I bought it from another seller.
2. When I use Avast to scan the sdcard0 (local phone storage), I don't think it is able to scan it. Only took less than 5 seconds to scan the entire 32gb phone storage. I think it has been block. How can I scan the local phone storage?
3. When I use the 'wireless firmware update', it doesn't do anything. I think it is just open a picture of android wireless update only but no button etc. I can see inside system folder app and there is an apk file for this wireless firmware update plus other apks such as calendar, play store, all the basic android app but in apk.
If i use check update from inside the about phone then it will check and shows I have the latest update.
note: I heard from another seller that if it is a fake phone then it cannot do the update but I am not sure whether or not it is true.
My friend also bought from this seller that saying be careful about the fake umi cross and I also have another friend who also bought from antelife but not arrive yet.
Are you able to update firmware using the wireless firmware update (if you have it) or inside about phone?
4. The seller that told me about some of the fake umi cross send me the link to the umi official rom website but I cannot read chinese so I am not sure it is official one or not but looks like it is.

Anyone can let me know how to do the rom update step by step for this rom?
I will compare antelife umi cross and this other seller umi cross when I see it.
In the mean time how do I know it is safe to use without transferring my contact list or any other information to somewhere else?
note: I only allow to use wifi and mobile data to some of the apps that I know and the rest block but I am not sure it block the system app.
Appreciate your help in this matter and if you own a umi cross bought from antelife or other store, please let me know your experience. Already rooted or not, any issue?
So far this phone is good only in a few occasion it reboot itself because I think I did a few task in one time while downloading/install from play store.
GPS picukp not as fast as THL but still okay.
