Having finally managed to root my Mijue M680 (Kitkat 4.4.2 stock ROM) mainly for the purposes to utilising tools like FolderMount (& Link2SD etc.) to give me more usable space for apps. However I cannot get any of these to work properly. I have asked about Link2SD in a separate thread, but I want to ask about FolderMount here.
I think the issue seems to be how the SD storage is mounted/mapped.
My internal SD card is sdcard1, and my real microSD is sdcard0 - which is the inverse of previous phones I have had with older android versions.
The problem is Foldermount thinks the source internal data folders should be on /storage/sdcard0, that external destination should be on sdcard1.
So I get the error message "Error: source must be in your internal sd card folder" when I try to set up a pair.
Sadly I do not think there are any custom ROMs available for my phone.
Also I have applied the Kitkat SD card fix so I know its not that.
Does anyone have any suggestions? (I am a relative NOOB - although I learn fast!)
Thanks in advance
