Hello, I have bought a Lenovo Vibe P1 hoping a good battery lasting. It has worked great for several days, with the battery discharging very slowly, both in standby and when I am using the phone. But suddenly the battery started discharging really quicly, and I didn't open any application neither changed any setting on the phone. The only different thing I did was setting on airplane mode for 3 hours or so.
Taking into account that this phone's battery is good and that I didn't change anything except for the airplane mode, why has the battery started discharging so quicly in a sudden way?

Better Battery stats has the con that it is paid.
With GSam nothing seems weird and the awake time is low. There was 20% of consumption on the phone radio. Perhaps it is too much. When I set on airplane mode and then set it off, could it produce an error on the cell radio with the consequent battery drain?
It is a casualty that the only two times that I had to use airplane mode the battery discharged quicly until after I rebooted the phone, when it got more stable.

I don't think that is the weather neither anything like that. That kind of factors have a so little influence that with normal use of the phone you can barely notice it. My phone has been performing great for about 8 days, except for the two times when I set on and then off the airplane mode. The following hours after that battery consumption is the double of the normal, until phone is rebooted. Then, consumption gets normal and stable. I think could be a process that gets stuck and is related to the cell radio and to the airplane mode. Could it be possible? Is too much casualty.
By the way, thank you very much for the link. I expect that app is better than GSam, because the latter has not accurate statistics for me, stops itself very often and seems to be quite unstable.

I'd recommend just giving it a few more days. See if it evens out. It's very unlikely something is "wrong" with your phone. Best thing you can do is check "app sucker" monitors and check deep sleep and kernel wakelocks.

There has not been anything weird on app sucker and deep sleep has gone well. When the airplane mode issue happened, the battery discharged itself without any clue of the guilty. There wasn't any app or service with an abnormal consumption on the GSam monitor and there was very little awake time on Wakelock Detector.
And why does always the battery drain happen when I use the airplane mode? What is the relationship? An OS error at kernel or UI level?

HI ive got the same phone that you have after I purchased it connect to internet and do the system update for this is the VERY FIRST THING YOU HAVE TO DO in order to patch everything on your phone be it software installed and device patches for a smooth and troublesome free functionality.
turn off-wifi adapter, mobile data each and everytime youre not using.
sync off some features of your google.
avoid using while charging your phone.
CHECK YOUR CHARGER CABLE AND CHARGER ADAPTER.
CHECK YOUR CHARGER PORT ON YOUR PHONE.
good luck!
