Hello guys, I'm new to this forum.
Since there are many of you more expiernced in china phones, I hope I can get any info and help as to my lenovo s750 which is running a mtk6589 chipset.
I got this phone, from china by et.... well known company. Unfortunatelly the buyer (who was not me) didn't order a new modded firmware, and it was supported with the original chineese one, hopefully rooted by a chineese program.
The first problem was lack of google play store. I've tried to install it from apk, but it only crashed. The solution I found to that was more then simple, just to copy few files into system/apk dir, using root and google play works.
I've even managed to remove most of chineese apps, that were not usefull using titanium backup pro.
What I did not manage to do, was to run GPS. I've tried the method on deleting mtkgps.dat and using mobileunclemtk tools, but mine still does not find "any" satellite. Do you have any other suggestion, as to what I could do, to fix the GPS? Or maybe this GPS is just f...cked?
