Hey I like to ask what good is root for a mtk phone as you can't overclock I know backup using root is good but is that all ?

Rooted offers many benefits. One of them is being able to flash CWM from Mobile Uncle. Another is gaining root shell with MTK droid tool so you can build CWM, backing up and restoring app data. Anything you need to do in the system such as remove junk apps or edit build.prop.

You can also search on Play "root" and there are a lot of apps that require root to do their work.

I got a ROM from needrom that give me cwr+root on 4.4.2 thanks for all that will try to have a look on play store
