I just ordered my zp810 but the network I use uses WCDMA 900Mhz and I am afraid that I will have issues with the 3G as per specific the phone is WCDMA 850/2100. By checking the band types of older zopos they do suppoer WCDAM 900Mhz
Greetings from Bulgaria.
I was using WCDMA 850/2100Mhz before and now is using WCDMA 900/2100Mhz, all with the same H7500+ . No problem at all.
You're connecting service is likely defaulting to 2100. To truly test 900 you NEED to be using a service provider that ONLY uses 900Mhz.
I'm sorry to be the bad guy here, but we can't let the rumor get started that this phone has 900 WCDMA, because in all likely hood, it doesn't.
Gizbeat is there an app that can show to what type of cell the phone is connected 900/2100 Mhz...?

There's no app that I know of. There was a thread about testing it in engineering mode, but I put an hour into it and couldn't find the thread again. I hunted around in engineering mode as well.

you can test it by using engineering mode.
1. disable all UMTS modes except for WCDMA-GSM-900
2. entering airplane mode or reboot the phone
now your phone should work with WCDMA at 900 Mhz only.
I just tested mine. And it doesn't connect to any WCDMA network. But I am not sure if this is because there is no WCDMA 900 cell site around from the carrier I am using. I will test it tomorrow at some other areas to confirm.

This method will work as well to test if your phone or provider is making use of specific frequencies. Assuming you know your provider is using 900Mhz WCDMA and you're in a covered area, disable all other frequencies as Mke suggests and that will also truly test if you have 900Mhz WCDMA (or any other frequency you want to test).

screen captured after phone rebooted to make sure only WCDMA-GSM-900 is in use.

Great!
It seems that WCDMA 900Mhz is working.
There is no way to have "H" if only GSM was active. In other words WCDMA 900Mhz is used....
Can you confirm that mke2fs?
Hello Again,
By the way on what device you have this result - h7500+ or zp810?
Thanks.

It looks like it is. I cannot be 100% sure as this is the only location I can use WCDMA 900 alone. I tried in multiple locations but the phone only showed "E" (i.e. EDGE).

Well......It is supported or not...It should never show you "H" if it is not supported, usually WCDMA 900 is used on more remote areas far from populated areas and big towns. In towns they usually use 2100 Mhz.
I will test it myself maybe will go out of town

Yesterday I tried the 1900 band, that is also shown as supported on the Engineering menu and it didn't work, so I wouldn't hold any hope of getting the 900 band.

I am still wonder how it can show "H" if it works on GSM mode only...
