Doogee DG580 Single SIM Displays Two SIMs

Although this is a single micro SIM with one slot, it tells me that I have two SIM slots and two IMEI numbers. In addition, I wrote earlier that the Apps launcher is missing from the system tray. At Doogee's site this is not how they present the phone, and the specs clearly state it's a single SIM.
Just what did I receive?

according to EDIT NON-official site
Dual SIM Card Dual Standby
link removed
and image at official site showing the time as 07:11
I can see dual sim at top of phone in image
#######
I would infer you have been sold a fake. If you have windows try mtk droid tools to see if it detects a fake CPU?
unless your phone looks like attached image.
In which case borrow a sim and see if you can get 2 signal indicators on boot up
Note another site claims sims are
SIM 1: Micro
SIM 2: Standard

Thanks. This s not the [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]?
That's where I got the firmware update for my 550, and they did a news piece on how they were taking action against doogeemobile.com.
I also checked the specs against [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register].
Are they bogus too?
And thanks for the pics. It's late now and I'll post what I have later. xON the palstic, it does say SIM 1 and 2, but there is only micro slot, no nano slot, and a SD slot.
Did they fake the battery, too?

Are you determined to make this a bad situation for yourself RJ? GizBeat already helped with the launcher situation. Simply install Apex. Done.
The battery is 2500mA. The phone is MTK6582 1GB 8GB.
DG580 has 2 SIM slots. Look in the back of the phone. There's a picture to show you how to put the SIMs in.

Thank you for your reply. To answer your question, which I do not appreciate, the answer is no, I am not determined to make this a bad situation.
First, as I stated in the previous thread, I have a work-around for the missing Apps Launcher, and I do have Apex. Doogee also has a "tools" folder on the home screen that stores up to 12 Apps.
Second, I ordered three China phones: Doogee 550, 580, and the iNew V8. These are the first China phones that I've owned.
I do like the DG580. For the price it's a nice phone. Being new at this, however, I made an honest mistake; that is, the two SIM slots are stacked on the DG580, and I didn't initially pick that up. The nano SIM is under the micro SIM, and it's a wafer thin slot that you don't see when the battery is in. Even when it's out, it's almost hidden. I discovered my mistake by the SIM outline etching in the plastic showing the positioning. It was 2AM and I could have been more alert.
In any event, thanks for all of your responsiveness, it has been a great help and I do appreciate it.

I have a similar phone with the stacked SIMs. It took me a minute (3 tries) to understand what was going on. After I figured it out, it seems like a pretty slick design.

@"RJ7 "
writes Quote:the nano SIM is under the micro SIM
when from another site I wrote it used micro and standard.
2) in post 2 my image of the DG580 in the metal area to the right
makes it appear to my eyesight that
the smaller sim is on the larger.
As I am not disputing RJ7 as I don't own this phone, this might be worth OP contacting forum sponsor and asking for a manual update?
IMHO if I am mislead.....surely others with even less Linux skills will be mislead?
Please consider this as a request and not a demand. OK

My "accusation" is due to you seemingly almost having hysterical fits at the slightest issue. In the first thread you more or loss called the phone terrible. I'm paraphrasing here. You were extremely frustrated...all you needed to do was install apex.
Then in your second thread you were accusing doogee of making fake specs for the SIM and battery. All you had to do was look at the picture.
I'm suggesting you not have such strong, strange reactions when something you don't understand pops up. Just ask the question without becoming hysterical.
