[Question] CWM / Root / Rom for Star I6 MTK6582 Question

Hi There,
I recently bought a mobile Star I6 I tried to root with vroot but could not, CWM tried to search for him, also found nothing nor roms anyone have any information? please tell me!

For CWM, there are several tutorials on how to build them. Try the Ranpha tutorial after you're rooted. Though I suggest you click 'yes' and 'yes' instead of no and no when it asks to flash the CWM automatically. In my experience everything works out fine when done that way.

i tried all the methods listed, but non of them worked. Is it a problem related with android 4.4.2 and mtk6582?

Very unlikely. Its impossible to guess if you dont tell where you got stuck.

Some of these newer phones have the bootloader locked, the old root methods won't work on them. You have to unlock the bootloader first before you can root them. I have a leagoo lead1 which is a mtk6582 quad core with android 4.4.2 only place I could find help was on XDA.

I am sure some of your information is correct for example

but it wrong to suggest that issue stops phones from being rooted. My bootloader is secure mode and I can root it and its a very recent phone
I only need to produce one exception to disprove your theory.

That is why rooting tools, in general work....because they exploit a weakness in the Android kernel.

Sorry if that sounds cranky but the OP has yet to reply on what error he or she is getting and Sniper47 is very good at trouble shooting rooting tools for Windows users. As are all the other Windows super mods.

Now benyirawan has replied to OP theme with a subject that has nothing to do with OP. Our super mods are tolerant here.....but maybe anyone who has trouble with the rooting tools ....except for the OP....please do a reply to the rooting tutorial that you are struggling with.

Leaping ahead for posters except the original poster please try the framaroot exploit first but only the OP (and any super mod) should reply here please.

Then you can try the other exploits but feel free to reply to the framaroot tutorial

-use kingroot .apk or rootmaster.apk.., check the unknown sources and usb debugging.. we have the same chipset and android version.. Im sure about these apks.. It'l root your decive wthout pc

In reply to the O.P. personally I would first build my CWM recovery using the flashtool route, that is making a rom image readback of your phone (no need for root) and importing that in droidtools to create the modified CWM recovery. That new recovery is suited for your phone and you can flash it using flashtools without the need for root yet.
After that you at least have the option to install zip files like chainfires supersu to your phone. My experience with KitKat rooting is that vroot works but the installed supersu doesn't work so you need to install another working supersu manually. That's where CWM will help you out.

To other users replying in this thread: please take into account aus9's remarks to avoid hijacking and cross-threading which leads to cluttering a thread upto a point where it is nearly impossible to apply a "Solved" label to it.
