As with any app, or modification to your phone, backup before you modify your phone. you assume all risks.

I modified Meteos MTK6589 ROM EDIT app to work on my DK C30, I am also going to modify the app to work on my JIAKE V8 when I get my phone.

You need root, and cwm recovery installed is always nice also, You should make a backup before using this tool, once ready install tool, give root permission, select choice, once done select reboot recovery, factory reset, do advanced restore only restore data and you are good to go.

You can do full restore if you want, app only modifies data partition, so no need to restore system unless you want to.

The DK C30 is only 4GB, This app could work on other phones provided your ebr1 and ebr2 are the same as DK C30

I am going to bed, earlier I downloaded a JIAKE V8 rom, from the rom, I was able to calculate the size of data partition, and changes I will be adding to app for JIAKE V8 when I get the phone, I am not going to modify app til, I have phone to make sure the ebr1 and ebr2 are exactly the same.

Anyway here is what they will look like provided the ebr1 and ebr2 are the same as the ones in the rom I downloaded.

Could you rebuild this app to work with multiple phones?

Example, have an extra menu that lets you choose which phone you have and will flash the EBR based on the phone you select. Of course it would be more work because you'd need to add all the different EBRs and their mod counterparts for each phone. Just curious if you've got the skills for this.

The app allows 5 choices, so it could support 5 phones, one choice each. Or any combination of 5,

Example 3 phones, 1 phone 1 choice other two phones two choice.

I'm wondering if you could rebuild it though to support more phones and choices. That would be great. Building apps isn't my thing, but seems you know a bit about it.

On a project that big, one might as well start from scratch, the modifications would be so time consuming, would be better off just making a new app.

I am out on that.

How? I need a hint to begin.

DK C30 is a MTK6582, you we need to compare your ebr's with mine, if different you will get soft brick, as partitiins would be wrong.

Restore your ebr via recovery, then factory reset.
