Clone Note 3 U9000 alps

Just got mine last week. So far a decent phone. There are a few things that seem off with the firmware installed. There is no option to change the lock screen wallpaper. I know on actual Samsung devices it's am option when you go to wallpaper settings to change it. It does seem to have something eating up most of the available storage as well. I wonder if this is some sort for crapware or just some system root lock. Additionally streaming YouTube has been hit and miss on WiFi and Netflix gets audio only so there is that...
I am still debating weather or not to keep it as is or look into custom firmware.
I have not messed with android all that much. Could it just need to be rooted?
I am new to this forum but it looks like a good community. Thanks in advance for any further information I gather from you all.

just want to share, there[/i]s alot of app at play store but i always use [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register] to show actual device information. Got myself some clone N2 last time and the apps does mention "Fake Samsung" and show correct MTK cpu and that help me alot.
