Can we use a different battery in the iNew v3?

Thats really good. How much on screen time do you get out of that battery? And how do you charge it? With an external charger or withe the phone?

The Inew V3 was a present for my girlfriend. Tonite once back home I'll check her phone stats and report
She charges it normally, with the phone.

Also can you describe what exactly didd you do with the pins and the soldering iron?
Did you remove them?

Well, it's pretty straight forward, as appears on the video.
Once you remove the plastic "cover", just use a soldering iron to remove the contacts. The contacts are "soldered" to the "real" battery contacts, so whenever you touch and press a bit (from up to down) on each of the battery pins with the soldering iron, those will go away without any problem.

It's a tutorial video I recorded on how to modify a 2000mah THL W8 battery to perfectly fit on the Inew V3.
Even though the THL W8 battery is a (true) 2000mah and the Inew V3 is a (fake?) 1830mah, the results are pretty good.

The video is in Italian as I'm Italian and I had a pending promise to an Italian forum. Whenever I have some time, I'll grab English audio to mux on this video.

I tried but I didn't manage to do it without the soldering iron. More, it's risky, since you may damage the contacts below.

Thank you for your answer, so its quite impossible to remove the contacts without a soldering iron, blame me that i don't have one. :')
Although, very nice vid for some other users.

You can try to cut them with a side cutter, if you cannot find someone with a soldering iron.
I don't know how are these pins but I assume they are like a "u" shape. You can cut the half of it but I still can tell how it will fit in the iNew.

I see indeed, but we don't have that at home too.
Before i will order a THL W8 battery i have to know if there is another way to short those connectors.
