Yes they are, I was able to find a person to swap nvram.bin with me, LMAO, He ended up with a good trade, me not so much, live and learn.

The MTK phones are new to me, but I have learned a lot about them, and the nvram.bin trade taught me much more. What the w450 nvram.bin did for me? nothing, well it knocked out my GPS completely, What did my nvram.bin do for him?

Well it fixed his GPS, his GPS never did work, or didn't work well, My nram.bin apparently completely fixed that for him, he had given up on ever using GPS on his w450.

I have given up on getting 3G to work on my phone, as I know now the bands are hardware not software, I had hoped that using a radio (nvram.bin) from a known 850 band would enable the 850 on my phone, well that's not how it works.

Anyway My GPS, returned as soon as I flashed my nvram.bin back and rebooted, as I suspected no harm is done by flashing the nvram.bin from another phone, GPS is directly tied to nvram.bin.
