I want to try to better quantify your question. Basically, I view you as asking this:
Is the i6000 battery capable of the following scenario with reasonable margin?
- 45 hours of standby with WiFi / 3G on
- 1 hour of streaming video
- 2 hours of active screen-on time with casual web surfing / messaging
- 0.5 hours of talk time
Has anyone tried similar to see what the drain on battery is? I think the biggest culprit here is going to be the streaming video.
Being that it appears your wife's usage habits are mostly standby, you might really benefit from installing an app like "DS Battery Saver". This app duty-cycles the 3G/WiFi while the screen is off to help maximize battery life during that time.
In any case, good luck!
I have significantly better results than you with no battery saver app.
62 hours of standby
2 hours 20 min of vettle streaming
4 + hours of web surfing, lot's of pictures and loading
3 + hours of playing ravensword
Haven't used talk time
I'll add the battery app and see if that makes any changes.
