Marc, I like the looks of the Cubot and it does have the advantage with internal storage. But the h7500+ is more popular and has more support as of now.
Take a look at Gizbeat.com Star S5 vs 7500+. If I were to compare the Cubot and 7500+, much of the article would be the same - Minus the issue of the red stripe on the S5
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth

Today I have received the Cubot M6589 (or A890 as it is also listed). A very nice phone by the looks of it. In comparison to the Zopo ZP810, I would prefer since it has Android 4.2, bigger battery and the model is slimmer.
The storage of the Cubot depands on the batch btw. Mine also has 4GB instead of the 8GB which is on the first batch...

Hi,
I have the Cubot A890 for some few days now.
I really like the look and fill of it.
It has very good WIFI connection.
solid GPS (with GAPS enables and GPS test application help).
Very good screen, touch and colors.
Awsome JB 4.2.1
The 4GB in the RAM is supported with my 16GB TF card class 10.
Bad things:
It has no LED (or other light) notification of missed calls and messages.
I still like it a lot.

Also, the A890 is becoming more and more popular.
It has already a firmware update in GeekBuying blog.
It has some flash tools and rooting tutorials.
I think it should have it own thread as W8 and B94M and others have!
