New firmware just released. Apparently it has quite a few fixes and runs better than the stock firmware.
More detailed instructions on the main site for some of these steps (skip over the steps regarding root) -
Quick and dirty:
• Install and verify in device manager
• . You must use Google Chrome or download the Firefox Mega NZ plugin. After the download is 100%, go to Downloads or hit CTRL-J, you should see the ROM there
• Extract the ROM
• Download this and this . Extract them into the folder of the extracted ROM. Copy over the existing recovery.img and boot.img
• Run
• Load scatter from the downloaded ROM
• Turn Off Phone, pull out the battery for 5 seconds and put it back in
• Click 'Upgrade Firmware' on Flash Tools
• Plug in Phone - You will see it install the rom. Takes about 2 or 3 minutes. It should finish with a green circle
• Bam you're a ninja.
NOTE: For anyone having an issue with the above drivers, please use these . They're now including the MTK6589 ADB. Excellent find by Kuroyume.
