trying to get endoscope 9 webcam) to work on usb port.
You tube shows this been done , simple , it works.
However my x12 cant detect usb camera. my phone has on the go ( OTG) and I have OTG cable, But still cant get it to work.
Does anybody know if a separate app for camera is required , to activate the usb webcam,
Endoscope works easy on my PC
It giving me the pips.

Have you confirmed OTG working with other things?

my x12 can be connected to pc with cable, and I can read and copy across
doesn't seem a problem with pc and endoscope on connecting to phone
I have tried several apps for the endoscope/webcam but all fail
camerafi says camerafi_err_callback
Usb webcam says device does not support MJPG
Webcam says failure to license apk
the list goes on
I just want to connect endoscope/camera to usb port..... android syatems
seems to be all up its rear.....windows was never this bad,,,,,,,even windows 8
any advice appreciated, especially if somebody has already connected and endoscope successfully...
thanks

Connecting your phone to PC with a cable has nothing to do with OTG.
Please answer these questions.
1. Do you have an **OTG** cable?
2. Have you confirmed the **OTG** cable is working with your phone with other devices?

hello
connected my usb flash stick with OTG cable, and I can read
and use the flash drive
However when I use endoscope it doesnt show video
I get a note off usb cam app saying device does not support MJPEG format , it
says camera is sending uncompressed video
I don't know if problem with endoscope, but it does work on pc
perhaps a setting on phone, needs to adjust to send MJPEG format.
I would have thought this would be auto working, as MJPEG is well on its way now.
thanks

Okay, I hate to say it, but it's unlikely there will be any solution for this for you. This is a highly specific function, and probably Cubot X12 wasn't built with a kernel or Android functionality to handle this device.
Have you tried it on a mainstream mobile like a Samsung?

yeh, looks like that could be the case, but I would be amazed if cubot phone couldn't handle a usb camera.
Also I will email cubot.net to see if they have a service/software dept
to help me out. they should say can do or no can do
thanks
