Bricked Doogee F5
#11
Ah ok, I wasn't too sure myself. I've never really had the problem before but then again I've never bricked a phone to the point where it is no longer detected as any device before.

Is it possible to remove a battery in an enclosed case without doing too much damager to the exterior? The way it's going I may just see if I can still return it, so doing external damage would mean that's off the cards.

I can't be sure removing the battery will fix the problem. I just know that in the past, the battery would usually need to be taken out for a second, then put back in before flashing.

As to taking the Doogee F5 apart, I can't say about that either. I don't have the phone in front of me, so very difficult to say how tough it would be.

I would try a different PC first. You'd be surprised how many times that has fixed people's problems.

I have tried to connect to my other laptop and having the same issue. Had a glimmer of hope just now. After leaving it plugged in all day, even though no light was present, I connected it to my PC and it was detected as Mediatek Preloader for a split second, then I couldn't get it to connect again.

Unfortunately I did not have SP Flash tools open at the time. I will leave it on the charge tonight then try again in the morning, hopefully I get that second of connectivity with SP Flash tools open this time and I'll get to reflash the stock ROM.

If I have no luck, I may just try removing the battery myself as now the device seem to be recognised, I think I can solve this now even if the warranty is jacked by me tampering externally with it

OK guys, I've bitten the bullet and taken out the battery.

Doogee F5 is pretty straight forward to disassemble, just remember to remove the SIM card holder before disassembly. After that just carefully pop the back cover off. Then proceed to remove all the screws in the large top segment, bottom does not need to be removed.

Only problem I came across was removing the fingerprint scanner, as it is stuck onto the small metal bar that must be removed to disconnect the battery.

Once the battery was removed everything worked fine in terms of installation of preloader drivers. I just connected it, drivers installed automatically.

Problem now is, this is the result of my latest SP Flash.

Any ideas? I'm starting to get out of my depth here

Turns out it may have been a faulty cable...but then after changing my cable...I was still getting errors...so I put the battery, help volume + then connected the cable....BOOM! SORTED! THANKS GOD!

Also I change SP Flash Tool from: SP-Flash-Tool-v5.1532.00 to SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1516

Thanks for everyones help, much appreciated!

Great. Looks like removing the battery did the trick. Glad it worked out there and thanks for Doogee F5 disassembly instructions. Any pictures of Doogee F5 guts?

It did indeed! Good shout! After removing the battery, it really cleared up all the connectivity issues.

Unfortunately no pictures of its guts as the camera on my GoFone does not work (probably going to reflash that next Tongue) and the Lenovo camera, makes everything look like it's minecraft.

After this ordeal though, I am a lot more comfortable with everything so as soon as I get a decent camera in my hand I'll pull it apart again so there's so sort of reference for everyone out there

Turns out the Lenovo S6000F camera is not too bad if you have good lighting! Here you go!
