custom rom with S5

At needrom.com there are 2 really good ones. The first from May 10 is a Jiayu interface...smooth and reliable...good ROM. But then I flashed the Xperia custom ROM from May 24 and am very pleased. I find it better than the Jiayu custom. it is very responsive, all Sony components like Walkman work fine. I get GPS fix after 8 seconds with AGPS and EPO active.

Using downloaded skobbler map of Germany with AGPS and EPO off I get a fix in 30 seconds and smooth navigation. For 7 euro I can buy the whole world (we're driving to Corsica in the summer) with lifetime updares.

So, besides being very pleased with my S5 itself, with the Xperia ROM I feel I have reached Nirvana! It's as close to a perfect phone as I could expect.

There is one weird hiccup...Wifi sometimes sticks...need to turn off then back on and all is well. I think it has to do with the MAC address bug. But, after installing Juice Defender Ultimate this problem is gone. The WLAN is automatically shut off when not needed...the wakeup provides a smooth connection.
