It offers 2 ways to install.....normal and you guessed it....via recovery
try normal first and see if you lose busybox --do a reboot
if you do then re-open and choose CWM
2) Be aware you will lose rw....that is normal and is not an issue from my point of view
as you already know how to fix it
good luck
Goodday Aus 9, I Have tried the above and it installed fine, rebooted and i lost root which means i lost busybox on rails, if i go the quick boot route everything stays ok.
Still something strange about my SU, have attached 3 imgs to show you, think I need to sort that out first, maybe I should install a different rom.
pic 1 shows there is 2 SU interacting
pic 2 is what appears if I say uninstall SUas pic 1
pic 3 is the SU that appears on a reboot
Well I do not know how or why but I changed the ROM to a custom ROM and it changed the MAC address as well, so now got 2 working phones on wifi, root seems to show up correctly on terminal emulator, thanks for all your help Aus9, learnt a little bit which is great, if you still want use me as a guinea pig that's fine......take care

great detective work
I said earlier that I believed you when you said you had deleted the su app now we know you had not found them all....WOO HOO
Knowledge is power!
Ok lets refresh
Image 1 indicates you have second su app
Image 2 is normal su request for a file manager to access root owned areas of files
-------BUT what did you do next??
Image 2 could well show the Chinese name of the app.
2) Go back with root powered file manager and look into
/system/app
3) Do you have a cable so you can use Windows or linux adb commands?
Let me suggest it will be easier to use a PC to google each app here is what you need to do
run adb as adminstrator by RH clicking the executable and choosing it......BTW I don't have windows myself

You can delete /system/app1 later but you can also view in Android or on PC.
I suggest you upload to dropbox or similar so we can all see?
If not at least post each Chinese app you see?
good luck
I can try what you asked me but I am not sure whether you read the rest of my post, see above, will I need to reinstall the other rom or carry it out on this rom, as using this rom has cured my problem..

sorry completely missed your edit.
Well done. when you get a chance, mark your MAC post as solved.
Now as I am curious .....do you mean you have root or true root?
2) Did you install an English CWM or was the Chinese version good enough to flash the custom ROM?
3) Not necessarily bryfly....but anyone who is interested in testing a script that automates the rw mounting of /system
here is script.....you can view it in a web browser [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]
currently I have it downloaded to /system/xbin and needed root powers to put it there
I then made it executable but I won't mention that until I find a tester who is not exhausted with my last efforts.
Inside Android I then run
Code:
su
sh /system/xbin/z.sh
(the last command must show rw status)

Not sure if I have true root or not, have attached image of what I get in term emu every time now, not like before when it kept changing.
2) = Yes had already installed English CWM
will mark mac page as solved, but still curious why it would not change with the various tools I tried, guess it must be your mission on true root or just partial root.
Did you see your efforts made the china arena weekly newsletter email?
EDIT:- just been to the mac thread and said it is solved , is there something I have to do apart from that to close as solved
Hi , done reboot and everything stays the same as image in post 36.
Will still try to find a way to change the MAC in the coolpad rom, prefer the feel of their rom and they are always updating to improve.
Apparently coolpad have just released a new rom for the TD- SMCA [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register] (post 643) which mentions giving full ROOT privileges

I have waited 10 days for a certain distro to update their openssl.......and they have not yet done so
hmmm, they used a patch for their 4.x series and have not posted the src for the 5.x series and therefore I can't see their patch.
stopping all work at this stage
