[Review] LEAGOO T1 Review 4G MTK6737 - Full Review

Ladies & gentlemen, I'm proud to present to you
an excellent compromise between PRICE and PERFORMANCES :

the LEAGOO T1 4G MTK6737

• Internal Storage : 16 GB (up to 128 GB microSD support)
  
• Battery : 2400 mAh, 3.8 V unremovable
  
• OS : Leagoo OS 2.0 (based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow)

• Front Camera : 8.3 megapixel 3840x2160

If I am being completely honest, compared with the previous reviews,
I think that Leagoo T1 4G is the best.

In the next pics you can see the box and the phone details (front, back and edge).
You can see also the package contents. You will find the following objects :
1) power adapter
2) usb cable
3) two sim needle
4) earphone
5) use manual
6) guarantee certificate



FIRST STARTUP

When I pushed the power button for the first time,
after that the boot process is finished,
I have noticed that the configuration wizard ask you for a very interesting option.
This is the first time I see it.
I have never experienced that option in my previous phones :

"If you use another Android device,
you can quickly copy your current setup to this T1"



If your Leagoo T1 4G delivered to you with the firmware 160726 installed by default,
when it will be connected, it will ask you for the 160819 software update.
I suggest you to make this update.
Follow carefully the instructions on the screen.
The phone will automatically reboot to install the update. Be patient.
The next screenshots show you the old firmware and all the update phases :




When you insert a microSD card into the Leagoo T1 4G,
you will be asked if you want to use it like portable storage or like internal storage.

Other two marvellous options caught my attention.
I have never experienced them in my previous phones.
They are the following :

1) "Use LTE services to improve voice and other communications".
2) "Download large files faster using Wi-Fi and 4G/3G at the same time".



But wait, that is not all. There is another noteworthy option.
When you take a screenshot (power & volume down buttons simultaneously),
it appears a panel that gives you the chance to modify the screenshot :



The Leagoo T1 4G has no physical Home button.
It has on-screen buttons (return, home & themes/wallpapers/widgets/effects).

I am very satisfied with both Rear Camera & Front Camera.
They take photos fully resolved.

GPS - Details :

The GPS works fine. Tested with "GPS Test Plus".



BATTERY - Details :

The test has been performed in conditions of turned off screen only.




Display :

The view of the display seems clear from every angles.
The next screenshot show the display informations ("Display Tester" apk) :



Audio - quality and settings :

The speaker sounds kind of cool.
When you listen music without headphones,
I suggest you to do not lay the phone on the table.

VERY IMPORTANT :

The volume of speaker is low by default, also at the highest volume.
But do not worry, there is an easy solution to fix it.
Please follow carefully the next steps :

1) Type the next sequence (Dialer) to gain access to Engineer Mode :

2) Tap on Audio (EngineerMode -Hardware Testing).
3) You will see these next sections :



4) "Normal Mode" is set to 128 (Max Vol) by default :



5) "Headset Mode" is set to 124 (Max Vol) by default :



6) "LoudSpeaker Mode" is set to 128 (Max Vol) by default :



7) "HeadSet_LoudSpeaker Mode" is set to 112/160 (two Max) :



8) I have increased the "Max Vol" to 150

WARNING :

Do not increase the Max Vol over 150 !
It could damage irreparably the speaker of the phone !

I have increased only "Normal Mode" & "LoudSpeaker Mode".

Then, I have tested all the ringtones at the highest volume : no distortion

Then, I have installed "YouTube" apk to test audio and video quality.
Nice colors/contrast and sound. I watch the next videoclip :

- If you do not want to break the bank.
- If you wish a decent smartphone.

1) Tap on Settings-->General Setting-->Developer Options-->OEM unlocking.
2) Download the next version of SP Flash Tool :

4) Turn off the phone.
5) Open SP Flash Tool, load the scatter file and click on Download.

7) When it finished, press "volume up" and "power" buttons simultaneously.
8) When appears the writing "Leagoo" release immediately the buttons.
9) Enjoy

I just bought the Blu Life Max which is very similair to the Leogoo t1. It has the mt6737, 2gb RAM, and Android marshmallow. I cannot flash TWRP for my phone beause I do nto have a scatter file. I was wondering how you were able to get the scatter files for your phone.

You can not flash the twrp for Leagoo T1.
You have to make a twrp for Blu Life Max.
I have not found any stock firmware for you phone on the net.
