Kitkat was talked about since September, and It came on the nexus 5 in November. Now, Almost all the big brands have kitkat with samsung, sony, etc... They have it either as a OTA update or Custom Rom... but there is no rom nor ota update for any of the mediatek phones, that too for mtk 6592. It is still with 4.3 Jellybean

Here's a pic of why 4.2 is crap. the ram consumption is terrible! its a ram hog! I couldn't use my phone with 512MB and 1GB properly. 2GB is a bit okay, but the ram usage is still too much!
android 4.3 is even worse! the ram consumption is twice than that of 4.2. thats why i dont want 4.2 or 4.3... Im eagerly waiting for 4.4 but that's taking like an eternity to come for our phones...
I got a THL W8s... 2gb ram, 32gb rom downloaded a custom rom from needrom.
