That's too bad about THL. I'm a big fan of theirs (so far) as their products seem to be top notch - however I have noticed the company lately targeting the low-end more. Maybe this is becoming an issue.
Regardless, it looks like the iNew V8 has made my list of possible phones to buy due to the camera being reported as very good.
So, I guess, for the sake of this thread, +1 for the V8!

Quick update.
I was starting to get a little concerned because it had been over a week and my order was still stuck on processing. But I woke up today to an email from Gearbest saying they finally shipped it out with DHL. So hopefully I can get it by the end of the week
Can't wait!

Hi Houki,
Glad that you've got your new phone on the way as well. I too am from Canada, and debating which phone to get and what import charges are like as well. Unlike yourself, I've been gravitating more towards the T11 only because it has the 1900 band (the phone will be used on Telus/Koodo which does not have a GSM fall back). To add a crinkle to my saga, I saw reviews that says the T11 has the WCDMA 1900 band, yet the Gearbest site does not show that band for the phone. So now I'm still wondering what to believe. Since you went with the iNew V8, I presume the 1900 band was not a (potential) show-stopper for you?
Thanks

iNew v8 certainly has 1900.
Gearbest specs are likely incorrect regarding THL T11. I will contact them on Monday to get it ironed out.

Hello drewski,
As Gizbeat pointed out, I chose between the iNew V8 and the T11 because they both supported WCDMA 850/1900. I don't believe there are many others (with 2GB of RAM) that support 1900 for that price point right now.
Also looks like I won't be getting my phone until next week. According to the DHL tracking number, they received the shipment information on the 14th, but its status hasn't changed at all since then.

Sorry, I misphrased my point there :-) Yes, they both appear to have WCDMA 1900. I was more concerned that the Gearbest site did not list the T11 as having that particular band, even though the review on gizbeat.com clearly shows that it does. And you're right - there aren't too many phones having those features at that price point. Two other ones I know of are the Elephone P2000 and the Mlais Note Pro, but they both lack WCDMA 1900. And thanks too to Gizbeat for offering to check up on the specs too - very much appreciated. I'm actually getting this phone as a gift for someone who doesn't know too much about bands and specs, so wanna make sure it works well right off the bat.
Sorry to hear about the delay - the waiting can be quite unnerving.

Really didn't expect it to take over 2 weeks now to arrive when I paid for express shipping. The DHL tracking number provided to me still has the same status of "Shipment information received" in Singapore, and it's been over 7 business days since they first updated. This is my first experience with DHL, but it hasn't been too pleasant. I have no idea where my package is, and it has been frustrating to say the least. I have contacted DHL directly to see what exactly is going on with this order. Hoping for a reply from them soon, and an update as to the whereabouts of my phone.
