Voto, known for releasing a re-branded version of the UMi X2 and the budget Voto V5, has recently released the Voto X6 in China and should be available soon in China shops catering to Westerners.
Voto X6 review LCD & SoC
The Voto X6 will carry the 8-core MT6592 5.5″ LCD @ 1080p, giving a ppi of 400. While 400ppi is certainly in retina range, the battery and performance stress is significant with MT6592. This will be up to the individual user as to what’s more important – a super crisp display, or better performance and battery life.
Voto X6 review camera, battery, OS & frequency support
The Voto X6 will have an 8mp front camera and 13mp rear. Those of you who follow mobile tech know that 8mp for front is very high. Quite possibly the highest released in a mid-range brand China phone excepting the upcoming iNew V8 with rotating 13mp.
The battery is 2300mA which is about standard for a 5.5″ phone. Users should get at least 4-5 hours onscreen WiFi web surfing and standard use.
The Voto X6 will be a GSM850/900/1800/1900 & WCDMA 850/2100.
Voto X6 review design & conclusion
The Voto X6 is a great looking phone. Slick looking and somewhat reminiscent of iOcean X7 with a very square body excepting slight rounds at the corners to save your fingers. The back piece appears to be faux leather, but looks fine.
The 1080p LCD could be considered a bonus or a negative depending on what you value. With 720p phones you get significantly better battery life,.
