[Innos D6000] root gapps temporary TWRP custom recovery how to tutorial guide
#51

I see tousands of app here (Includes SuperSU root, adb fastboot tools, adb drivers, temporary TWRP, permanent TWRP), also read all thread, but don't understand that. I need only root, not gapps (I have it)...

Just follow the instructions on the first post of this thread. At the last part it says:
Code:
Flash SuperSU.zip or gapps or permanent TWRP through "Install" in the temporary TWRP
When you flash SuperSU.zip that'll root the phone.

Yes. Don't look at the whole thing @rygi25 . just do step by step. It's easier than PC flashing IMO.

If have any questions about specific step, you can ask here.

Thank You, solved. I didn't know that SuperSu.zip it's a app that root my phone, it wasn't any explanation in tutorial about it Smiling

Only last question please... If I am in TWRP can I also UNinstall apps? Or maybe it's easier way to uninstall apps? Offcourse I mean only those apps which I have in my system, not apps that I downloaded myself (those are easy to uninstall). Thank You once again.

SuperSU.zip is not an app. You install from SD within TWRP.

Remove apps from within Android with "root uninstaller".

Just take it step by step. Don't look at the whole thing. Start with #1.

Okay so for me it went a bit different. First of all i flashed from SD card from common 1.1 android 5.0.2 directly to 2.5 android 5.1 with android recovery. It worked and even it didn't wiped out all my data but for some reason it destroyed the android recovery. When trying to access it with normal gesture (volume up + Power button) Innos logo was just blinking and the screen went black but the phone was not off (if i plug it in USB the PC recognize it).
Anyway, i just did as the tutorial say on this page, but couldn't do it from recovery mode, so i figured i could maybe do it from android booted. Problem is, i couldn't unlcock the bootloader with "fastboot OEM unlock-go", it says "waiting for device" (obviously because i was not in bootloader mode) so instead of doing this first i just launched Run_test.bat and it did recognized the device, then just force restarted it into bootloader. The trick is, if i just press random keys to continue the test it will fail because the bootloader is not unlocked, so immediatly after the phone restart to bootloader i launched the "fastboot OEM unlock-go" command from another cmd window. And it worked !
But sadly when the temporary TWRP start it immediatly detect something wrong with the partition or something (i think because what i did before to update to 5.1) and auto restart in 5 seconds, so i couldn't do anything. After that the phone looked stuck on innos logo, the camel didn't show up for like 10 minutes and when it did all my data was deleted and the phone was in chinese (5.1 and 2.5).
Luckily i did backup so everything was okay. I ran TWRP again but this time i could use the Android recovery mode.
I flashed one after another Permanent TWRP, gApps, superSU then rebooted the phone. Now it seems to be okay, i am installing all my apps from google play store and that's all i wanted.

I hope it will help if anyone got the same problem with the recovery.

Hi, I upgraded my ROM to V3.0 via SD Card (run install from my permanent TWRP).
I installed GAPPS pico version and root the phone. All done smoothly! I have a problem with the new version 3.0. The mms/ sms cannot be opened. I can only read the header. I cannot read and send message. There is a workaround way, that is to change the language to Chinese. However, this is not what I want as I prefer English interface.
I have a question, as I have lots of apps and information in my phone, I do not wish to always do a clean upgrade. I prefer to use OTA so that I can keep my apps and info without loosing them. I cannot do so as I have already flash away the stock recovery. I am now using a permanent TWRP as my recovery. Is there any way to restore back the stock recovery? How can I do it if there is a way to do so? By restoring to stock recovery, can I upgrade my ROM via OTA? I have rooted my phone. Will the apps and info still be intact after the OTA upgrade?

I will try to answer all

1. For SMS, use Zero SMS from Play. It is dual sim and works good.

2. Can restore stock recovery, but at the moment don't have a download link for it, but:

3. Can flash the full OTA through TWRP. At least, I was able to. The guy who made it did a great job and seems like did everything correct.

4. Yes, your apps will stay intact if install through recovery and don't do factory reset.

I haven't seen a link for it yet.... But you can install full OTA package through TWRP.

Hi guys,
(sorry for my poor english^^)
Thanks for your tuto and all your messages very helpfull in this thread. (Gizbeats ant GottaGetX you rules :-)
Here my story which could to help someone....maybe.
Because i had 4G issues I decide to update my rom (from my SD card throught bootloader) from common_V1.1 to V3.0 with lollypop 5.1.1 ...
Now rom is in CN/EN but it works fine.
I make a TWRP temporary root to install nano GAPPS (stock won't work for me), then super SU (not sure it was necessary). ..i'm on Win10.
- 4G was hard to get : go to settings/more/cellular network and choose LTE/CDMA/EvDo (my LTE switch didn't work at all)
- GAPPS are here : google account OK
- SMS default application bug (it close before you can read your message) : solve with another SMS apps (chomp SMS for me)

See ya (when french language will in next release ! :-)
