GPS on MTK6592

Hi, I bought the same phone with the same issue. I told the seller and he said the phone should have GPS. I was wondering if it's possible they have installed the wrong software. I will first root the phone then maybe run some diagnostic tools and eventually try to install a custom ROM.

By the way, how do you like the pictures taken with this phone?

I bought mine from aliexpress. It is "Lenovo" MTK592
same problem here. GPS is not in options and he said he will send me new rom to get it activated. but no reply from him. Picture quality is even worse than 10 year old one with 2mp camera. And now wireless stopped working. It doesnt detect any wireless networks...
Any ideas?

Best thing would be to return it for a complete refund. Since we lose money doing this, the other best thing would be a minus infinite review so they stop selling these. For now I'm trying to see what fake I got and root it, try installing new ROM or something

I'm sorry to hear all you guys are having this problem. I agree with what's said above. Write as many negative reviews regarding the phone AND the aliexpress seller(s) you bought these from. Voice your experiences so others aren't misled down the same path. If a complete refund is possible, that's a good route too.

Good luck identifying and with finding ROMs for these phones. I'm sure everyone in this thread would appreciate anything you find out.

Certainly this is a MT6572 cpu, no gps, is not wdcma, 512 MB RAM and a very poor quality camera, android version is forged and of course is not a lenovo phone.
I have one of this from aliexpress. After trying to negotiate with the seller (LUCKY DRAGON SHOP Store No.1240094) but he insisted that the phone is original so i opened a dispute and even escalated it.
I won and i got a full refund and keep the phone.
I can help if anyone decide to open a dispute.

Due to sellers answer he will get new rom I was foolish enough and waited one month. After a month seller didn't reply anymore and I cannot make comments or even open dispute.
Does anyone have a Idea which rom could be used for this one. I would love to fix my wireless at least. It doesn't work anymore...

I have already openened a dispute....going to escalate it tommorow to Aliexpress.I want money back plus money for customs and tax.Is there anything essential you would recommend me?
