Bricked Phone ?
#1
Exclamation
Hi guys, so I'll try to make it short...

Basically I had a battery problem (as i said in other threads) and now the phone seems suprisingly useless.

It rain heavily yesterday morning and the phone in my pocket may have got wet but really juste a little. After a few minutes i realized the phone acted like it was plugged in to a charger (but not the external battery), it showed charging LED and began downloading WIFI heavy updates.
I cleaned the USB port with a little object but nothing changed. i plugged it in and it didnt charged at all...I turned it off and then it charged very well.
The day after i went to work and the internal battery drained first, and when the external battery went to 30% the phone suddenly shut down, rebooted, show the normal lockscreen with 30% battery left, and i don't have enough time to do anything and again reboot, lockscreen, reboot, lockscreen...etc.

Luckily i do have TWRP and i can access it. I thought it is because of the 3.2 update maybe, so decided to flash 3.0. The flashing went well, wiped cache, dalvik, root, gApp etc... but stuck in bootloop with the Innos logo (no camel).

I decided to factory reset from TWRP, and flash my Nandroid backup (3.0) and then, SURPRISE ! the TWRP begin the install, flash boot, recover...etc and then after 30 second the phone shutdown and restart to boot loop.

At this point i was very confused, i try random things, tried to flash android 5.1.1 + 2.7 ROM and it worked, then i flashed root, and tried to flash gApp as always but it randomely said FAILED, error code 25...

So now i kind of give up, my only hope is all the failing installations are because of the low battery ? Also the battery level didn't show anymore on the TWRP (as i remember it did before)

Anyone can help ? Confused

Thanks...

So, sounds like you said 2.7 worked, but root and gapps failed? Your phone can boot now okay, or no?

No, what i meant with "worked" is that the installer didn't kick me out. It finished the installation normally without random rebooting in the middle

Bootloop...

But it doesnt matter, because all the failing installs were because of the low battery. It is interresting to now that the TWRP will kick you out of the install in the midddle without explanations if you do not have enough battery (you do have 30 % or less and it is enough but not for TWRP Dodgy )

So i went home and plugged the phone, and flashed the nandroid recovery.
And....same problem : internal battery shows it is charging even on 3.0 ROM.
I understand it is physical damage then. Very disapointed. I can only charge when the phone is off. Angry

If it's water inside you should keep the phone off. It's a great risk to make other damages. It should be cleaned and the oxides removed as soon as possible. I dropped coffee on my Innos and now the memory card slot doesn't work anymore. Fortunately the flash was saved.

So i believe i fixed it Big Grin

I opened all the screws and blew a little and wiped carefully with toilet paper (yes, toilet paper... it drinks water easely but be carefull). I also removed a wet yellow sticker near the USB port.
Then i close them all, powered up and...No charging LED Smiling
10 minutes works !
I went back to 3.2 and all seems fine. I'll keep you updated if there is any change.
Thanks everyone for the help

So, i didn't post for a while, but basically i didn't know what would happen.
I thought last time the phone was "repaired", but in fact after 20 minutes it started again to show internal battery charging.
I looked on internet few things on how to remove humidity, and i used two ways : Rice and alcohol.

I put it in a box of rice for one day and nothing changed. Water seemed to reach deeper places as the phone started to random shut down.
So i tried the alcohol thing, but as i am stupid i shoved the ENTIRE phone into the alcohol bath, instead of only the motherboard.
Basically it stayed there 15 minutes, then i shaked all of it and tried to boot but nothing.
I tried again and again, clean and dry with paper, nothing.
After a while it did boot but with interesting colors.

At this point i got hopeless and began to unscrew everything and unplug everything inside. Cleaned a bit, closed everything and throw it into the rice box for another day.

I repeated this for at least 10 times (so arround 10 days) and magically the phone seem to be stable. The screen works, the backlight is weak but still usable...Colors are not true, like watching a screen from a 180 degrees angle. The touch works but the "invisible guy" is touching everything from time to time but it does that less and less now.
Batteries are charging normally hahaha at least i managed to "fix" the original problem.
It does shut down randomely but almost not doing it anymore, the phone is working 12hours straight now which is a miracle.

I just wanted to share this to anyone who want to know what NOT TO DO with your phone. Anyway i ordered a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro. If this armored tank is still working i'll keep it as second hand phone in case of problems. Because until now i was using a Samsung Galaxy S haha which is a pain in the ass, everything is so sloooooow....

I said before that I dropped some coffee on my phone and that the phone must be urgently turned off. After that should be cleaned urgently by moisture and oxides. I read too how to proceed, I tried with rice, but was unsuccessful. If I turned on the phone, the flash always went continuous on. I'm not handy, so I went to a specialized gsm repair shop . They managed to make it work again, but the memory card slot does not work anymore. Sorry for your phone.
